Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how ClipCard Pro ("we", "our", or "us") handles information when you use our secure data vault application for iOS.

Data Storage

ClipCard Pro is designed with privacy as a core principle. Your sensitive data (credit cards, crypto wallets, phone numbers, URLs, and text) is stored:

  • Locally on your device using iOS Core Data with encryption
  • In your private iCloud account (if you enable iCloud sync) - encrypted end-to-end by Apple

We do not have access to your data. We cannot read, decrypt, or retrieve your stored information.

Information We Collect

What We DO NOT Collect

  • Your stored cards, wallets, or any sensitive data
  • Credit card numbers or financial information
  • Cryptocurrency wallet addresses
  • Biometric data (Face ID/Touch ID is processed entirely by iOS)
  • Images captured by the OCR scanner

What We MAY Collect (Optional)

  • Anonymized crash reports to improve app stability
  • Basic usage analytics (feature usage, not content)

You can disable analytics in Settings.

Camera & OCR

ClipCard Pro uses your camera to scan credit cards via OCR (optical character recognition). Images are processed entirely on-device using Apple's Vision framework. No images are transmitted, stored, or sent to external servers.

iCloud Sync

If you enable iCloud sync, your data is stored in your private iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit. This data is encrypted end-to-end by Apple and we cannot access it. You can disable iCloud sync at any time in the app settings.

Biometric Authentication

Face ID and Touch ID are handled entirely by iOS. ClipCard Pro only receives a success/failure response. We never access or store your biometric data.

Data Security

  • All data encrypted at rest using iOS Data Protection
  • Biometric or passcode required to access the app
  • No server-side storage or transmission of your data
  • iCloud data protected by Apple's end-to-end encryption

Your Rights

You have full control over your data:

  • Delete individual items or all data at any time
  • Disable iCloud sync to keep data only on-device
  • Uninstall the app to remove all local data
  • Opt out of analytics in Settings

Children's Privacy

ClipCard Pro is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
